Agadir is located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, near the foot of the Atlas Mountains, just north of the point where the Sous River flows into the ocean. It is surrounded by the Anti Atlas, the Sahara Desert on the Atlantic coast with many national parks, and secluded beaches which are all easily accessible. Agadir today is primarily a tourist resort popular with Europeans, due to its excellent clean beaches, first class golf courses, beauty spas and all the other facilities that visitors require.
